Full job description

Penelope is the next evolution of restaurant into nightlife trading. Located on James St, Brisbane, our venue is a classic bistro at heart with a touch of European supper clubs. Part restaurant, part lounge, part bar where the focus is never solely on the food or the drinks or the entertainment; rather, a perfect balance between all three.

Rooted in nostalgia yet undeniably modern, our menu delivers refined yet playful flavors designed for social dining. Our bar showcases expertly crafted cocktails and a curated selection of wines, while our soundtrack of funk, disco, and soul sets the tone for unforgettable nights.

As a section waiter you will expected to -

  • Be the main point of contact for the guest
  • Deliver exceptional service
  • Manage time and be in control of your section
  • Help out other sections when there is availability/ demand
  • Stay on top of other tasks including, but not limited to, running food and drinks, completing MEP tasks, polishing cutlery, folding napkins etc.
  • Maintaining cleanliness
  • Maintaining a high level of communication to the kitchen and manager on duty.

We are looking for someone who has a bright shining personality, someone who can read the room and anticipate guests needs before they need them, and become a solid fit in our tight team of superstars.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

REQUIREMENTS

RSA required, as well as a minimum 1 year experience working as a section waiter.

Pay: $34.00 – $47.98 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
