The Role

At Fresh Point Co. Café, we strive for excellence in both service and food quality. As part of our team, you will:

• Chefs/Cooks:
• Plan menus, manage budgets, train kitchen staff, prepare and cook food.
• Ensure excellent service and high-quality food, maintaining consistency.
• Focus on health and safety standards, manage stock levels, and ensure proactive preparation for service.
• Baristas:
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages with a focus on presentation and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Engage with customers to provide a welcoming and friendly experience.
• Bar Attendants:
• Prepare and serve beverages, ensuring excellent presentation and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, enhancing their experience.
• Restaurant Manager:
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional customer experience.
• Manage staff, handle scheduling, and maintain inventory.
• Lead the team in maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and safety.
• Waiters:
• Greeting patrons, presenting menus, and taking food and beverage orders.
• Serving food and drinks to patrons at tables.
• Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen.
• Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables and counters.
• Kitchen Hands:
• Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Cleaning kitchen surfaces, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
• Assisting cooks and chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
• Disposing of rubbish and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• General Requirements for All Roles:
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a busy environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver great service.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A high level of attention to detail and a passion for providing excellent service.
• Flexible to work split shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Chefs/Cooks:
• Cert III, IV, or a Diploma in Hospitality.
• Proven track record in food production and kitchen management.
• Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Baristas:
• Experience in preparing coffee and other beverages.
• Knowledge of different coffee beans and brewing methods is a plus.
• Bar Attendants:
• Experience in preparing and serving drinks.
• Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes is a plus.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Restaurant Manager:
• Cert IV or Diploma level Relevant qualification is preferred
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
• Proven ability to oversee operations and meet customer expectations.
• Waiters:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage service is preferred
• Good communication and customer service skills are required
• Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices is essential
• Ability to take orders accurately and work efficiently under pressure
• Kitchen hands:
• 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen is required
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Annual Salary Ranges {annually}

• Chefs/Cooks: $68,000 – $80,000
• Baristas: $67,500 – $75,000
• Restaurant Managers: $70,000 – $85,000
• Waiters: $67,500 – $75,000
• Kitchen hands: $67,500- $75,000
• Bar Attendants: $67,500 – $75,000

Job Types: All positions offered are fulltime- Minimum 38 hours per week
