Backer (Cook's Assistant)

Are you ready to jump into the kitchen and support the team in a fast-paced, hands-on role?

At The Pancake Parlour, we’re looking for a dedicated Backer to assist our cooks and help keep the kitchen running smoothly. Whether you’re prepping ingredients, plating up dishes, or ensuring everything’s ready for the next order, you’ll be an essential part of the team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Cook: Help plate menu items exactly to recipe, ensuring everything looks perfect and tastes great.
  • Food Prep Pro: Assist with prepping bulk food items - chopping, dicing, stirring, and cooking—keeping things organized and efficient.
  • Kitchen Support: Make sure there are always clean crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans available, so the kitchen runs without a hitch.
  • Team Player: Work alongside the cooks and kitchen team to maintain a fast, smooth workflow throughout each shift.
