About the Role:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks for children aged 6 weeks to school age.
  • Develop menus using Feed Australia while accommodating allergies, cultural and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant kitchen environment.
  • Manage ordering, stock control and minimise food waste.
  • Partner with educators to make food and nutrition part of children's learning experiences.

  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
  • Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification is required.
  • Current Working with Children Check and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate are required.
  • Knowledge of early childhood nutrition, food safety and allergy management is essential.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday during centre operating hours is required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or ACECQA-approved qualification.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Understanding of early childhood nutrition and Australian dietary guidelines.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, WHS and food safety standards.
