Luna Lu Restaurant, located in the heart of The Rocks, Sydney, is seeking a proactive, commercially minded and creative Events & Marketing Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who can drive event enquiries and bookings, develop marketing initiatives, build strong client relationships and maximise revenue opportunities across the venue.

About the Role

As our Events & Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and developing the restaurant's events and marketing activities, including:

• Managing event enquiries from initial enquiry through to booking and event completion.
• Proactively following up leads and converting enquiries into confirmed events and functions.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, agents and other key partners.
• Creating and implementing marketing campaigns to increase venue awareness, bookings and revenue.
• Developing promotional initiatives for seasonal campaigns, special occasions and key trading periods.
• Coordinating private functions, corporate events and group bookings in collaboration with the restaurant operations team.
• Preparing event proposals, quotations, function packages and client communications.
• Monitoring event performance, sales opportunities and conversion rates.
• Identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to increase event revenue.
• Supporting social media, digital marketing and promotional content where required.
• Coordinating marketing materials, promotions and venue collateral.
• Working closely with management, operations and kitchen teams to ensure successful event delivery.
• Maintaining accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, bookings and client requirements.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and opportunities within the Sydney events and hospitality market.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in events, hospitality sales, marketing or a similar commercial role.
• Highly organised, proactive and confident in managing multiple enquiries and deadlines.
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on lead conversion, revenue generation and business development.
• An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident dealing with corporate clients, private clients and event partners.
• Able to negotiate professionally and identify opportunities to maximise event spend.
• Creative and enthusiastic about marketing, promotions and creating new business opportunities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and administration skills.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with restaurant management and operations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Available to work weekends when required for events, functions and key promotional activities.
