Restaurant Duty Manager jobs

Bariuma Ramen Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, leading the team, maintaining high standards of customer service and food quality, and supporting the ongoing growth and performance of the business.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service delivery, high-quality customer service, and smooth business operations.

2. Plan, organise and coordinate restaurant activities, including front-of-house operations,

reservations, customer service standards, and special events.

3. Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus, review pricing strategies, and coordinate

seasonal promotions and marketing initiatives.

4. Recruit, interview, train, supervise, mentor and performance-manage restaurant staff, including preparing staff rosters, monitoring attendance, and ensuring adequate staffing

levels.

5. Establish and maintain high standards of customer service by handling customer enquiries, feedback and complaints, and implementing service improvement initiatives.

6. Manage the purchasing of food, beverages and operational supplies, negotiate with suppliers, monitor stock levels, conduct stocktakes, and ensure effective inventory control.

7. Monitor food quality, presentation and consistency to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.

8. Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, HACCP requirements, food handling regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, liquor licensing regulations (where applicable), and company policies.

9. Monitor food costs, labour costs, operating expenses and overall restaurant budgets to achieve financial objectives and maximise profitability.

10. Prepare and analyse operational, financial and sales reports, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

11. Oversee cash handling procedures, point-of-sale (POS) reconciliation, payroll records and other administrative documentation.

12. Coordinate equipment maintenance, facility upkeep and repair requirements to ensure the restaurant operates safely and efficiently.

13. Develop and implement business improvement strategies, promotional activities and operational initiatives to increase customer satisfaction, sales performance and profitability.

14. Maintain effective communication with senior management and provide recommendations regarding operational improvements, staffing requirements and business development opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

· A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

· At least 2 years of relevant experience in restaurant management or a similar managerial position.

· Strong leadership and people management skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Experience with restaurant operations, staff rostering, purchasing and stock control.

· Good understanding of food costs, labour costs and general restaurant financial management.

· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

· The ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant environment.
