Restaurant Manager – Café Brunelli

Café Brunelli is seeking an experienced, energetic and results-driven Restaurant Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day restaurant operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands hospitality, knows how to build and motivate a strong team, and can confidently manage customer service, staff performance, rostering, costs, food quality and overall business performance.

We are looking for more than someone who simply supervises a shift. We want a manager who can lead from the front, identify problems, implement solutions and help drive the business forward.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing the restaurant team across daily operations
• Delivering consistently high standards of customer service
• Recruiting, training, developing and motivating staff
• Preparing efficient rosters and managing labour costs
• Monitoring staff productivity and performance
• Maintaining food quality, presentation and service standards
• Managing stock, ordering, wastage and supplier coordination
• Monitoring sales and identifying opportunities to improve revenue
• Managing customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
• Overseeing opening, closing, POS and cash-handling procedures
• Maintaining excellent cleanliness, hygiene and food-safety standards
• Ensuring compliance with WHS and relevant hospitality requirements
• Supporting promotions, delivery platforms and other initiatives to grow sales
• Working closely with senior management to improve profitability and overall business performance

About You

To succeed in this position, you will be a confident and accountable hospitality leader who takes pride in running a successful venue.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Café Manager, Venue Manager or experienced Assistant Manager
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Experience with rostering, labour management, stock control and cost management
• A good understanding of restaurant KPIs, sales and profitability
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to perform under pressure in a busy hospitality environment
• A hands-on management style — you are willing to step in and support your team when required
• High standards for food quality, cleanliness and customer experience
• Availability across a flexible roster, including weekends where required

Relevant hospitality or management qualifications will be highly regarded; however, strong practical management experience is equally important.
