About Us

Caffe Cherry Beans Erindale is a welcoming and established cafe located in the Erindale Shopping Centre in Wanniassa, ACT. We provide freshly prepared meals, quality coffee and professional customer service in a warm and friendly cafe environment.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe or Restaurant Manager to manage and oversee the café’s daily operations.

About the Role

The Cafe or Restaurant Manager will be responsible for organising, controlling and coordinating the overall operations of the cafe. The successful candidate will ensure efficient service delivery, effective staff management, strong financial and stock control, customer satisfaction, and compliance with food safety and workplace requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Manage the cafe’s daily operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and roster kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Monitor food quality, customer service and overall workplace performance.
  • Manage stock, suppliers, purchasing, pricing and cost control.
  • Maintain sales, wage, stock and other financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Handle customer feedback, complaints, reservations and special functions.
  • Coordinate kitchen and front-of-house operations during busy service periods.
  • Monitor budgets, revenue and operating expenses.
  • Implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A relevant qualification in hospitality management, business management or a closely related field.
  • More than three years of relevant experience in café or restaurant management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing front-of-house and café operations.
  • Experience supervising and training kitchen, barista and customer-service employees.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Experience with rostering, stock control, supplier management and financial recordkeeping.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage a busy café environment and maintain high standards during peak service periods.
  • Excellent customer-service and conflict-resolution skills.
