Taste of Lanzhou by Lee's Kitchen is a specialty Chinese restaurant located in Kotara, NSW, offering authentic Lanzhou cuisine inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Northwestern China. Our menu features traditional hand-pulled noodles, regional Chinese specialties, and a diverse selection of authentic dishes prepared using quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.

Due to the continued growth of our business, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operation of our restaurant and lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and profitable business performance. Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including rostering, recruitment, training, performance management, and ongoing staff development. Monitor customer service standards, promptly resolve customer enquiries and complaints, and ensure an outstanding dining experience. Oversee stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier coordination to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise wastage. Monitor restaurant revenue, operating costs, labour expenses, and overall financial performance to achieve business objectives. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, liquor licensing obligations, and company policies. Develop and implement operational procedures, promotional activities, and customer service initiatives to improve business performance and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with senior management, kitchen staff, and suppliers to ensure the efficient delivery of food and beverage services while maintaining high quality and operational standards.

Skills & Experience

  • At least two years of relevant work experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar hospitality management position. A Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
