Hedonist Collaroy is looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant / Venue Manager to join our team and take the lead on the day-to-day operation of the venue.

We are a modern restaurant located in the heart of Collaroy, with a strong focus on quality food, great wine, warm hospitality and creating a memorable experience for our guests.

We are looking for someone who is confident leading a team, enjoys being on the floor and takes genuine pride in delivering excellent service.

The Role

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily FOH operation and working closely with the kitchen and ownership team to ensure Hedonist continues to deliver a high standard of food, service and hospitality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading the FOH team
  • Creating and maintaining high service standards
  • Staff training, development and performance management
  • Rostering and managing labour costs
  • Overseeing opening and closing procedures
  • Managing bookings and reservations
  • Handling guest enquiries and resolving customer concerns
  • Working closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth service
  • Monitoring stock, wastage and operational costs
  • Driving sales and encouraging a strong service culture
  • Assisting with events, functions and special promotions
  • Maintaining venue presentation and cleanliness
  • Ensuring RSA, WHS and other compliance requirements are followed
  • Leading service and being hands-on with the team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience as a Restaurant, Venue or Assistant Manager
  • Has strong knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Is confident leading and motivating a team
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Can remain calm and organised during busy services
  • Has a strong understanding of hospitality standards
  • Is comfortable with POS, bookings and rostering systems
  • Has a good understanding of labour, COGS and restaurant costs
  • Is reliable, professional and takes ownership
  • Is available to work evenings and weekends
  • Has a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Has bartending experience is a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
