Roles and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

· Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient, safe and profitable business performance.

· Coordinate and supervise restaurant operations across dine-in, takeaway, catering and online delivery services to ensure high standards of food quality and customer service.

· Work closely with the Head Chef to develop, review and update menus, including seasonal menus, promotional items and special event offerings.

· Establish, review and adjust menu pricing across all service channels, including dine-in, takeaway, catering and online delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Panda, taking into consideration food costs, competitor pricing and business profitability.

· Plan, coordinate and manage catering services, private functions, corporate events, birthday celebrations and other special occasions to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

· Monitor inventory levels of fresh produce, seafood, beverages, dry goods, packaging materials, cleaning supplies and other restaurant consumables to minimise waste and maintain efficient stock control.

· Coordinate purchasing schedules, source suppliers and negotiate pricing and supply arrangements to ensure quality products are obtained at competitive prices.

· Monitor restaurant sales, labour costs, food costs and other operating expenses, analyse financial and operational reports, and implement strategies to improve revenue, productivity and profitability.

· Prepare staff rosters and allocate duties according to business requirements while maintaining efficient staffing levels.

· Recruit, interview, induct, train, supervise and evaluate front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure employees understand and comply with operational procedures and customer service standards.

· Conduct staff performance reviews and provide coaching, mentoring and ongoing professional development to improve employee performance and operational effectiveness.

· Manage customer reservations, coordinate seating arrangements and supervise service during busy trading periods.

· Review and respond to customer feedback received both in-store and through online delivery platforms, investigate complaints promptly and implement appropriate corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.

· Ensure compliance with all applicable Food Safety Standards, Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, liquor licensing requirements and company policies and procedures.

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, workplace safety and presentation throughout the restaurant.

· Liaise with senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, increased operational efficiency and business growth.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should possess:

· An AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management or a related discipline; or equivalent qualifications recognised in Australia.

· At least three years of relevant full-time experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a comparable management role within the hospitality industry.

· Demonstrated experience managing the daily operations of a busy restaurant.

· Proven experience in staff recruitment, training, rostering, supervision and performance management.

· Experience in inventory management, purchasing, supplier negotiation and cost control.

· Strong understanding of food safety legislation, workplace health and safety requirements and liquor licensing regulations.

· Sound financial management skills, including monitoring sales performance, labour costs and operating expenses.

· Excellent leadership, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement).

· Excellent English communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin to support the restaurant's predominantly Mandarin-speaking customer base.

Benefits

· Permanent full-time position.

· Competitive salary package plus superannuation.

· Supportive and professional working environment.

· Opportunities for career development and long-term growth.

· Work with an established hospitality team committed to delivering high-quality food and customer service.
