Tharavadu Indian Restaurant is a growing Kerala/Indian restaurant in Brisbane, known for authentic Kerala flavours, warm hospitality and a strong focus on quality.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Full-Time Restaurant Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant.

About the Role

As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading the team, maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
• Lead, train and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff
• Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing requirements
• Ensure high standards of customer service and hospitality
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally
• Monitor food quality, presentation and service standards
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service
• Manage opening and closing procedures
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers
• Control food, labour and operating costs
• Minimise wastage and maintain effective stock control
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety standards are maintained
• Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA and relevant Queensland regulations
• Monitor daily sales, cash handling and POS operations
• Assist with promotions, events, catering and special functions
• Work closely with the owners to improve restaurant operations and profitability
• Maintain a positive, professional and team-oriented workplace

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor
• Has strong leadership and people-management skills
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Can confidently manage a busy restaurant environment
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently
• Has good knowledge of food safety and restaurant operations
• Can manage staff rosters, stock and daily operations
• Has strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
• Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great customer experiences

Experience with Indian/Kerala cuisine or a similar restaurant environment will be highly regarded.
