About Broadbean Catering and Events

Broadbean Catering & Events is an award-winning catering and events company based at the National Museum of Australia.

For over 12 years, we've delivered weddings, corporate events, conferences, gala dinners and celebrations at one of Canberra's most unique venues.

We're looking for reliable, friendly people who enjoy working in hospitality and being part of a team. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

We are looking for Event Waitstaff to join our casual team.

You'll work across a range of events, assisting our kitchen and events teams to ensure every function runs smoothly.

Your role will include:

  • Food and beverage service
  • Setting tables and preparing event spaces
  • Greeting and welcoming guests
  • Serving canapés, meals and beverages
  • Clearing tables and maintaining a clean and presentable service area
  • Assisting with event setup and pack-down
  • Working closely with the kitchen, function manager and events team
  • Ensuring guests are well looked after throughout the event
  • Maintaining Broadbean’s high standards of service, presentation and professionalism

Previous hospitality experience is highly regarded, with supervisor and management roles available for the right candidates.

About you

  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
  • High level of customer service
  • Professional presentation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Previous bartending experience is highly regarded
