Front of House Attendant (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Yakitori 38 | Canberra

Yakitori 38 is a busy and well-established Japanese izakaya in Canberra, serving authentic Japanese food and drinks in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking team members to join our Front of House team. We are seeking both Full-Time and Part-Time staff who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and seating customers
  • Providing friendly and professional customer service
  • Taking orders and assisting guests with menu enquiries
  • Running food and drinks
  • Clearing and resetting tables
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the dining area
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties
  • Supporting both Front of House and Back of House operations when required
  • Washing dishes and assisting with general cleaning tasks
  • Restocking supplies and maintaining service stations
  • Performing general duties as directed by management

What We're Looking For

  • Fluent English communication skills are essential
  • Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual and well-presented
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly during busy service periods
  • Willingness to learn and perform a variety of duties across the venue
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
