RESTAURANT MANAGER – FULL TIME

Prime Point Investments – Bishop's Lodge Narrandera
Location: Narrandera, NSW
Position: Restaurant Manager

Employment: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 per annum + superannuation

About the Position

Prime Point Investments is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Restaurant Manager to manage the operations of a new restaurant being established at Bishop's Lodge Narrandera.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and assist in establishing a high standard of food service, customer experience and operational efficiency from the commencement of the new restaurant.

The successful applicant will be responsible for organising and controlling restaurant operations to provide high-quality dining and hospitality services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Restaurant Manager's duties will include:

  • Planning menus in consultation with the Chef and kitchen team;
  • Planning and organising restaurant operations and special functions;
  • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods in accordance with operational requirements and budgets;
  • Maintaining appropriate records of stock levels and financial transactions;
  • Monitoring restaurant expenditure, operational costs and stock control;
  • Ensuring dining facilities comply with applicable health and hygiene requirements and are maintained in a clean, functional and presentable condition;
  • Consulting with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals, beverages and service;
  • Responding professionally to customer feedback and resolving service-related concerns;
  • Selecting, training, supervising and coordinating waiting and relevant kitchen staff;
  • Preparing staff rosters and coordinating staffing requirements according to business demand;
  • Monitoring staff performance and maintaining appropriate standards of customer service;
  • Coordinating front-of-house and kitchen operations to ensure efficient service;
  • Managing reservations, functions and customer bookings as required;
  • Greeting guests and assisting with service during busy periods where required;
  • Monitoring stock requirements and liaising with suppliers;
  • Assisting in establishing operating procedures and service standards for the new restaurant; and
  • Ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and delivers a consistently high standard of dining and customer service.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

  • A relevant Australian qualification in Management or a closely related field;
  • Previous relevant experience (2 YEARS) in restaurant/hospitality management;
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating restaurant staff;
  • Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, stock control, purchasing and customer service;
  • Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to manage a busy hospitality operation and work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams; and
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.

Previous experience in managing or assisting with the establishment of a new restaurant operation will be highly regarded.

Salary and Employment Conditions

Salary: $80,000 per annum + superannuation

This is a full-time position based at Bishop's Lodge Narrandera, NSW.

Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with applicable Australian workplace laws and employment standards.
