Key responsibilities & duties:

  • Pitching stories/angles/products/events to media.
  • Responding to and facilitating media requests.
  • Media monitoring, coverage clipping and filing.
  • Influencer campaign execution, monitoring and reporting.
  • Client report drafting.
  • Media, supplier and influencer list maintenance and management.
  • Where required, communicating with clients and suppliers in a professional and effective manner.
  • Writing content as briefed for media materials.
  • Researching clients, relevant industries and surrounding issues/angles to produce said content, including online research, phone/in-person interviews, field visits, etc.
  • Assistance with event and promotional organisation.
  • Maintenance of client WIP documents, producing meeting agendas and notes.

Qualifications required: Public relations/communications degree/diploma - you may currently be in your final year

Work experience and attributes required:

  • Must possess excellent writing skills, demonstrating: creativity; correct use of grammar, spelling and punctuation; an understanding of style across media releases, web, social media and other basic marketing communications; and a good sense for the 'news' angle.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn… WeChat a bonus!
  • Must be an adept multi-tasker with good time management skills and an ability to work efficiently yet effectively with very good attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude, team spirit and dedicated work ethic.
