About the role

Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the venue, ensuring exceptional service standards, operational efficiency, financial performance, and team engagement.

As Venue / Outlet Manager, you will lead a team of hospitality professionals while overseeing all aspects of the outlet's operation, including service delivery, staff management, rostering, inventory control, compliance, guest satisfaction, and revenue generation.

You will be expected to lead from the front, creating memorable guest experiences while fostering a positive and high performing team culture.

This role requires a hands on leader who is passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will work closely with the Kitchen, Events, Front Office, and wider F&B teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence across the venue.

You will be accountable for driving venue performance through effective labour management, cost control, stock management, and the achievement of financial targets. You will analyse business performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement initiatives to maximise revenue, improve efficiencies, and enhance guest satisfaction.

As a key leader within the hotel, you will play an active role in recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards, liquor licensing requirements, workplace health and safety obligations, and company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to build genuine relationships with guests, team members, and stakeholders. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality, service, and results.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and service staff.
Create a positive, inclusive, and performance-focused team culture.
Conduct training, coaching, and performance management activities.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Operations Management

Oversee the daily operation of the venue to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently delivered.
Manage opening and closing procedures and venue presentation.
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Monitor and maintain compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures.

Financial & Commercial Performance

Manage labour costs through effective rostering and workforce planning.
Monitor revenue, productivity, and departmental expenses.
Drive sales initiatives and maximise revenue opportunities.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and responsible service requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ensure all team members comply with company policies and legislative requirements.

Guest Experience

Build strong relationships with guests and stakeholders.
Ensure all guest interactions reflect Stamford's commitment to service excellence.
Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and venue performance.

About You:
You’re a passionate and experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. With a strong background in restaurant or food & beverage management, you lead by example and know how to motivate a team to deliver exceptional service. You’re confident, approachable, and solutions-focused, with a keen eye for detail and a hands-on leadership style.

You’ll also bring:
Proven experience in a similar Venue / Restaurant/ Outlet Manager or F&B leadership role (hotel experience highly regarded)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong team and guest relationships
A solid understanding of food and beverage operations, service standards, and financial performance
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
A proactive approach to training, development, and team engagement
Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
Knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene, and liquor licensing requirements
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
