Inhouse Architect | Burger Urge

Burger Urge is continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced Inhouse Architect to lead the design and documentation of our restaurants across Australia.

From new venue developments to refurbishments and venue refreshes, you'll play a key role in shaping the spaces where our customers experience the Burger Urge brand.

Working closely with our Property, Construction, Operations and Marketing teams, you'll take projects from concept through to construction, ensuring every venue is commercially smart, operationally efficient and built to our brand standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing new Burger Urge venues from concept through to construction documentation.
• Preparing feasibility layouts to support new site assessments and lease negotiations.
• Producing Tender Set documentation suitable for certification, pricing and construction.
• Coordinating structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and fire engineering consultants.
• Preparing documentation for refurbishments and venue refresh projects.
• Maintaining and evolving Burger Urge's architectural standards and prototype venue designs.
• Working with landlords, certifiers and consultants to achieve project approvals.
• Supporting the Construction team throughout project delivery to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, buildability and construction outcomes.

No two projects are the same. One week you might be designing a new flagship restaurant, and the next you'll be developing refurbishment solutions or refining our national design standards.

About You

You're an experienced architect who enjoys creating practical, buildable spaces that deliver great customer and operational outcomes.

You have strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and enjoy collaborating with a range of stakeholders to bring projects to life.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree in Architecture (registration or working towards registration is highly regarded).
• A minimum of five years' experience delivering retail, hospitality or QSR projects.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills (essential).
• Revit experience (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and accessibility requirements.
• Experience preparing Development Approval, Construction Certificate and Tender documentation.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
