We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and professional Waitstaff team member to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate will provide attentive and efficient service to guests, assist with daily restaurant operations, and help maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy hospitality environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesBefore Service – Opening Duties

• Prepare and set tables with cutlery, napkins, water glasses, menus, and condiments.
• Ensure the dining area is clean, organised, and ready for service.
• Refill water bottles, jugs, and table condiments.
• Check that the POS system is operating correctly.
• Attend staff briefings regarding specials, menu changes, unavailable items, and bookings.
• Assist with general preparation and restocking as required.

During Service – Customer Service

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Seat guests when required and provide menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Answer questions about the menu and provide recommendations when appropriate.
• Communicate dietary requirements and special requests accurately to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to their needs.
• Refill water and assist guests as required.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and notify the manager when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining area throughout service.

Food & Table Service

• Run food from the kitchen to tables efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure dishes are delivered to the correct guests.
• Clear plates, glasses, and cutlery promptly when appropriate.
• Wipe, clean, and reset tables between guests.
• Monitor the dining area and maintain high presentation standards.
• Prepare takeaway orders and check their accuracy before handing them to customers.
• Assist with Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other delivery pickups when required.

End of Service – Closing Duties

• Clear and clean tables and the dining area.
• Reset tables and prepare the restaurant for the next service.
• Restock cutlery, napkins, menus, condiments, and other service items.
• Clean and organise service areas.
• Empty bins and replace liners when required.
• Sweep and mop dining and service areas as required.
• Assist with general closing and cleaning duties.
• Complete handover information for the next shift where required.

General Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with management, kitchen staff, and other team members.
• Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and responsible service requirements.
• Follow restaurant procedures and service standards.
• Remain calm, professional, and efficient during busy periods.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain the restaurant's cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience.
• Represent the restaurant professionally at all times.

Skills & Experience

• Previous hospitality or waitstaff experience is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays where required.

Pay: $26.50 – $32.00 per hour
