Purpose of  Position

Provide assistance in the food and beverage operations to ensure that you are contributing to the overall effectiveness of the restaurant and wedding team. This includes providing efficient and friendly service to customers and ensuring the restaurant and bars are maintained in a well-presented manner.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

• Provide superior customer service to all patrons 
• Ensure that the food & beverage area(s) are clean and maintained to a high standard.   
• Remove any dirty plates and glassware from tables, clean tables as required and relay tables if necessary.   
• Take food and beverage orders from patrons and collect food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar, delivering them to the table. 
• Service of drinks from bar areas to patrons.  
• Provide patrons with advice/recommendations in relation to each item listed in the food and/or beverage menu.  

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: 

• Understanding of restaurant, kitchen, bar and cashier terminology. 
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. 
• Ability to work within a team environment.  
• Understanding of responsible service of alcohol responsibilities.  

DESIRABLE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: 

• Previous experience working in food and beverage or a winery setting.

Pay: $28.00 – $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 15.0 per week
