In this role, you'll:
Support programs that boost Aboriginal participation and economic opportunities. You will help coordinate daily project tasks, keep documentation and data organised, and assist with engaging stakeholders across Transport projects. You’ll also help maintain clear reporting, support culturally safe practices, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope under guidance.
The Project Officer Participation will also be responsible for:
This role can be filled through remote working and can be based anywhere in New South Wales. The role requires in person attendance on particular days of the week at your local TfNSW office.
These are Aboriginal-identified roles as they involve the development and delivery of services and programs which impact or require liaison with Aboriginal people and/or communities. Our Aboriginal Employment Unit (AEU), run by a team of Aboriginal employees, is available to support current and prospective employees. About you
You are an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
You have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
You are experienced in supporting projects - including planning, scheduling, maintaining registers and preparing status reports - ideally within government, infrastructure or a similar environment.
You are confident using MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and collaboration or records management tools like SharePoint. You’re also familiar with basic project templates and simple financial tracking.
You are confident in professional email etiquette, and naturally inclined to solve problems with a calm, solution focused mindset. You take accountability seriously, owning your work and contributing positively to every task you take on.
You are skilled in research and analysis, and you can draft clear, high quality minutes, briefs, presentations and reports.
You are aware of Aboriginal cultural heritage considerations and engagement protocols, and you are committed to culturally safe and inclusive practices.
