Permanent, Full-Time Role | $78,522.73 - $91,015.06 per annum, plus 12% superannuation | Hurstville


Bring your painting expertise and leadership skills to a hands-on role delivering quality outcomes across Council’s facilities and infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Leader – Painter to lead and support a small team delivering painting, decorating, surface restoration and graffiti removal services across Council facilities and infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside your team while coordinating daily activities, allocating resources and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll provide technical guidance, coach and develop team members, and help create a positive and accountable team environment.

You’ll also work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to keep projects on track, resolve operational issues and continually improve the quality, safety and efficiency of the services we provide.

What We Are Looking For

  • Trade qualification in Painting & Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar leading hand or senior painter role
  • Demonstrated experience in graffiti removal
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and working at heights
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Capable of using ladders, scaffolding, and access equipment
