About the Role

Join Pastuso — Melbourne's celebrated Peruvian restaurant in the heart of the CBD — as a Casual Section Waiter. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, South American flavours and exceptional wine and beverage program, Pastuso offers the opportunity to deliver memorable dining experiences alongside a passionate front-of-house team.

Reporting to a Restaurant Supervisor, you'll receive dedicated monthly appraisals, genuine professional support and ongoing opportunities to develop your skills while providing exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced, premium venue.

In the Section Waiter role, your day-to-day will involve:
•
Delivering attentive, knowledgeable and personalised table service to every guest

•
Managing your own section while ensuring efficient, seamless service throughout each shift

•
Building guest relationships through confident food and beverage recommendations

•
Driving food and beverage sales through strong product knowledge and upselling

•
Working closely with the bar, kitchen and management teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences

•
Handling guest feedback professionally while contributing to a positive team culture

Our successful candidate will have:
•
1–2 years' experience as a Section Waiter within a premium, high-volume venue

•
A genuine passion for hospitality, food and wine

•
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with guests

•
Valid working rights in Australia

•
A team-first mindset with a positive, professional attitude
