Full job description

RPA Developer & Support | Kanji IT

Kanji IT Division (KGIT) is looking for a practical, hands-on RPA Developer & Support Engineer to join our Automation team in Sydney. This role is all about building reliable automation, keeping bots running in production, and delivering real business impact through UiPath.

You’ll work closely with the Automation Lead, Digital Innovation Leads, and business stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand to design, support, and continuously improve automation solutions that are stable, scalable, and cost-effective.

What you’ll do

  • Build and support UiPath automations
Design, develop, and maintain UiPath workflows for small to mid-sized processes. Fix issues, enhance existing bots, and follow consistent development standards.
  • Work within REFramework
Support structured automation using UiPath REFramework, including transaction handling, logging, retries, and exception management.
  • Support Document Understanding
Work with OCR, classification, extraction, and validation workflows. Help improve accuracy using Validation Station and Action Centre.
  • Manage UiPath Orchestrator
Handle assets, queues, triggers, deployments, and monitoring. Keep bots healthy and running as expected.
  • Production support (L1/L2)
Monitor daily bot performance, troubleshoot failed jobs, investigate logs, and resolve issues quickly. Provide first-level support to business users and escalate when needed.
  • Improve and optimise
Identify automation improvements, support enhancements, and contribute to post-implementation reviews focused on ROI and performance.
  • Keep documentation sharp
Maintain runbooks, support guides, and technical documentation that actually makes sense and helps keep things running smoothly.
  • Optional Power Platform work
Support Microsoft PowerApps development and integrations where required.

What you bring

  • Hands-on UiPath Studio experience (professional, academic, internship, or personal projects).
  • Basic understanding of UiPath Orchestrator (queues, assets, triggers).
  • Exposure to REFramework concepts.
  • Familiarity with Document Understanding.
  • Basic coding skills (VB.NET, C#, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and a willingness to learn fast.

Nice to have

  • UiPath certifications (UiRPA, Advanced Developer, DU Specialist).
  • Experience supporting bots in production.
  • SQL, APIs, or scripting exposure.
  • ERP or enterprise system experience.
  • Basic Windows server or desktop support skills.
  • Agile delivery experience.

Why this role

This is a hands-on automation role where your work actually runs in production and directly improves how the business operates. You’ll be part of a team focused on building repeatable, scalable automation that delivers measurable ROI.
