About the role
Crown Clerk 9/10 role, starting salary from $133,348 - $146,945 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location - 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards.
Advance your career in public health medicine by joining the highly regarded NSW Public Health Training Program. This unique, three-year, workplace-based program provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to make a real impact in population and public health. You'll gain specialist skills in public health policy and practice and learn from experts in the field.
The NSW Public Health Training Program is recognised for the training of medical graduates towards Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine. Current and prospective Public Health Medicine Advanced Training Program trainees are encouraged to apply.

What you'll be doing
You will undertake supervised work placements across a range of settings within the NSW health system. While you may have the opportunity to complete a rural placement, most placements are located in the Sydney metropolitan area.
You will provide expert medical advice and complete projects and activities that support the application of evidence-informed public health policy and practice aligned with organisational priorities. You will help build the capacity of the NSW population health workforce and contribute to NSW Health’s public health emergency surge capacity.

General medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

Eligibility to apply for the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine Advanced Training Program.

Minimum of 3 years of full-time postgraduate health related employment.

Completed masters degree in public health or a public health field, including study in the areas of epidemiology, biostatistics, health protection, health promotion, and health policy, planning or management.

Demonstrated understanding of the Australian health care system.
-
A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.

In addition, due to the competitive nature of these traineeships, work experience in a public health or population health role is highly desirable.
