Roles and responsibilities:

Job Description – SAP GRC Security Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP GRC Security Consultant to design, implement, and support SAP security frameworks across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Access Control, SAP Security architecture, SoD (Segregation of Duties) management, and compliance-driven security solutions. This role will work closely with functional, technical, and audit teams to ensure governance, risk, and compliance requirements are effectively addressed.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Security & GRC Implementation

Design, configure, and support SAP GRC Access Control modules including:

Access Risk Analysis (ARA)

Access Request Management (ARM)

Business Role Management (BRM)

Emergency Access Management (EAM)

Develop and maintain SAP Security roles across SAP modules (ECC/S4HANA, Fiori, BW, SRM, CRM, HCM, etc.).

Risk & Compliance

Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) risk analysis and remediation.

Define and maintain GRC rule sets aligned to business, audit, and compliance standards.

Support internal and external audit assessments, ensuring controls are appropriately designed and monitored.

Security Operations

Manage user provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic role reviews.

Troubleshoot authorization issues across SAP applications.

Conduct security impact analysis for system changes, upgrades, and new implementations.

Process & Governance

Develop and maintain security governance frameworks and documentation (policies, guidelines, SOPs).

Collaborate with project teams to integrate security controls in new SAP implementations.

Provide subject matter expertise on SAP security best practices and compliance standards (SOX, GDPR, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

3–8 years of experience in SAP Security and SAP GRC (Access Control).

Strong knowledge of SAP authorization concepts (ECC/S4HANA, Fiori Catalogs/Groups/Roles).

Hands-on experience with ARA, ARM, BRM, EAM.

Expertise in SoD rule sets, risk remediation, and audit compliance frameworks.

Working knowledge of Fiori security, HANA DB security, and SAP cloud solutions is an advantage.

Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Access Control

SAP Security or GRC certifications

ITIL, CISA, or CISM credentials

Soft Skills

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams.

Detail‑oriented with strong governance and compliance mindset.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
