About the Role:
Are you an experienced Safety and Risk Officer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-demand environment?
To succeed in this role, you will bring extensive experience in construction safety across civil, commercial, or residential sectors. You will hold, or be willing to quickly obtain, a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. This is a dynamic and varied position that requires strong critical thinking and sound logical reasoning skills.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy, high-volume setting. As part of a small, close-knit and collaborative team, you will provide support across multiple operational areas, including Contractor Management, DISST, Work Health and Safety Committee support, and Risk Register maintenance.
In this role, you will apply your specialised safety and risk expertise to support project and maintenance works, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and CHS requirements. Key responsibilities include site surveillance and monitoring compliance across nominated construction sites, as well as assisting with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of safety and risk management systems and processes aligned with the Division’s strategic goals and objectives.
