Full job description

TOSSERS WANTED!

Make friends with salad and join the team changing the Sydney salad game.

Just like our salads, we're after the perfect mix of people (who bring zest and punch) to serve the best fast food salads in Sydney. Summer's coming, we're busy, and we're building the bench.

OUR VALUES

  • Cool as a cucumber — calm under pressure when juggling multiple priorities
  • Bring home the bacon — keep our customers happy and coming back for more
  • Go bananas — bring passion, fun and flavour to the workplace
  • Peas in a pod — collaborative and works well in a team

THE ROLE

Salad Bar Operator — a mix of front and back of house. You'll be making salads, serving customers, prepping ingredients, cooking proteins, restocking and keeping the place spotless.

Front of house

  • Greet and serve customers with a friendly, positive attitude
  • Build salads to customer preferences and Salad Days standards
  • Know the menu and answer customer questions
  • Keep the dining area clean and organised
  • Restock the salad bar and front of house supplies
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently

Back of house

  • Prep ingredients — washing, chopping, and storing produce correctly to keep it fresh
  • Cook proteins — chicken, salmon, lamb, falafel — to spec and to food safety standards
  • Store all food correctly and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Keep the kitchen and prep areas clean and organised
  • Routine cleaning — sanitising surfaces, dishes, bins
  • Work with the team to keep service running smoothly

WHERE THIS CAN GO

We promote our supervisors from within, and we're hiring right now with that in mind.

Nobody supervises a Salad Days store on day one — you can't run a shift until you know the systems, the recipes, the pace and the people. So every supervisor starts here, on the floor, in this role.

If you've got it, you'll move into shift supervision: running a service, leading a small team, opening and closing, stock counts and ordering, and holding the standard when the queue is out the door. Pay steps up with the responsibility.

What we're watching for: reliability, ownership, the ability to stay calm and organised when it's flat out, and people who lift the team around them. Supervisor roles need broader availability across days, evenings and weekends — so if that's where you're headed, let us know what you can offer.

WHAT WE'RE AFTER

  • Tell us when you can work — we run lunch and evening service seven days, and we're happy to build shifts around your availability. Days only, nights only, weekdays only — all workable if you're good
  • Reliable, punctual, and happy in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work at both our Pitt Street (CBD) and Potts Point stores — a plus, not essential
  • Hospitality experience preferred but not required — we'll train the right person

THE DETAILS

  • Locations: Pitt Street, Sydney CBD and Potts Point
  • Work authorisation: Australia (required)

When you apply, tell us: are you looking for shift work, or are you looking to work towards a supervisor role? Either answer is a good answer — we need both.
