The Opportunity

With a growing diverse portfolio of quality animal products Dechra Veterinary Products (Australia) is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Sales Manager. This pivotal role will drive sales strategies, team development, and revenue growth across our market-leading range of companion animal products within the allocated region.

This role will require in field support to the commercial teams, which means travel will be required. The Regional Sales Manager position will operate in a hybrid working environment, sometimes in the office, sometimes from home, sometimes on the road… which means more flexibility for you. We are flexible on location, however east coast of Australia with easy access to a major airport is preferred. Specific region will be determined in consideration of candidate location.

The Challenge

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and inspire the Companion Animal sales team to achieve budgeted goals and develop essential skills

  • Implement effective sales strategies and regional activities to maximize revenue.

  • Champion a positive team culture aligned with Dechra’s values and behaviors.

  • Identify and support training needs and personal development objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including wholesalers and KOLs.

  • Review and analyze sales reports to guide activities in collaboration with the BU Head – CAPEQ.

  • Achieve agreed sales targets and drive continuous improvement.

  • Support successful product launches and ensure team engagement.

  • Champion CRM (SalesForce) usage and drive sales force effectiveness through coaching, metrics, and frameworks.
