Barangaroo NSW

We are looking for a 1st Year Commercial Carpentry Apprentices who are ready to build more than just structures - build their future in 2027.

As a Commercial Carpentry Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside the Principal Contractor and a wide range of subcontract trades, including formworkers, steel fixers, interior fit-outs, plumbers, electricians, window/façade installers, waterproofers, tilers, painters, and more!

This is your chance to work on HUGE commercial projects across Sydney, progress into skilled and leadership roles, and take pride in your work; imagine driving past an impressive new building in Sydney one day and knowing you helped build it from the ground up!


Some of Your Duties Will Include:

  • Using power tools: impact driver, hammer drill, drop saw, circular saw

  • Using hand tools: tape measure, nips, Stanley knife, hammer, spirit levels

  • Installing fencing into concrete slabs and reading construction plans

  • Erecting and dismantling small scaffolds

  • Building timber stairs and handrails for site access

  • Operating elevated work platforms (EWP)

  • Learning from and supporting a variety of subcontract trades on-site
