Our Girls' Secondary School is currently looking for a Learning Enhancement Aid to join the team on a permanent part time basis.

The role offers 0.5 FTE, 19 hours per week across Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

More about the role:

• To support the special needs of students with their physical, emotional and learning requirements
• Be responsible for coordinating with the relevant school staff to ensure all needs are met
• To make themselves and the students they are assisting, a part of the whole class setting rather than an isolated unit within the classroom
• Assist the students with adaptive/assistive technology if need be
• Assist with creating alternate tasks for the students
• Taking notes and providing administrative support to ensure adherence maintained

About you:

• A good ability to work independently and take initiative to plan and complete tasks
• Previous experience will be required working with children/students with specialised and complex learning needs
• Previous experience in an administrative role within a school is highly advantageous
• Experience working in social work or counselling/teaching will be advantageous
• A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
