Support Work - In the Home

We’re searching for a reliable, compassionate, and motivated NDIS Support Workers to join the support team of young NDIS participants with autism and ADHD.

About The Role

This role is particularly focused on supporting a young participant with complex needs who requires consistent, trauma-informed care. The participant has experienced significant early childhood trauma and requires a support worker who can build trust and rapport, maintain consistency, support emotional regulation, and assist with developing daily living and independence skills.

The participant lives with a family member who is currently supporting multiple family members with complex needs. Therefore, reliability, consistency, and a calm, structured approach are essential.

You will be supporting young participants with the following:

  • Assisting with morning and afternoon routines
  • School drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Supporting attendance at therapy appointments (including Behaviour Support, OT, and Speech Therapy)
  • Transporting and supporting safe transitions between activities
  • Community access and capacity-building supports
  • Building positive relationships while encouraging independence and confidence

You’ll play an important role in helping someone maintain independence, confidence, and connection to their community.

About You:

You’re caring, patient, dependable, respectful, and understand that great support is built on trust and consistency. You will ideally have:

  • Certificate in Disability, Individual Support (Ageing/Disability), or equivalent (preferred)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Current Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • A solid understanding of NDIS principles, participant choice, and dignity of risk
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends

Most importantly, you should have experience working with autism and ADHD, be an excellent communicator with clear English and the ability to follow structured routines and instructions.
