Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metallurgy Lab Technician to join the Mill Metallurgy Department. The successful candidate will support the metallurgical team by conducting sampling, laboratory testing, and process monitoring activities to ensure efficient plant performance and gold recovery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Execute process sampling, laboratory analyses, and metallurgical test work to provide accurate data and support efficient mill operations.
• Monitor and optimize mill performance, gravity circuits, and metallurgical parameters to maximize gold recovery and operational efficiency.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain metallurgical systems, field analyzers, and sampling equipment to ensure reliable performance and data integrity.
• Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards by identifying hazards, maintaining safe work practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Analyze, report, and improve operational data, support process improvement initiatives, train plant personnel on metallurgical best practices, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance enhancement.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Higher Secondary Education: NATIN / AMTO diploma in Chemical Analysis, Mine Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2.5 years of relevant experience preferable in metallurgical operations, laboratory analysis, process monitoring, mining, or a related industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, laboratory testing methods, sampling techniques, and process control systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data, prepare accurate reports, identify process improvement opportunities, and work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.
• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
