About the role
As a Senior Corporate Lawyer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice and services across RACQ. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will provide practical, commercially focused guidance on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, helping to manage risk while enabling business objectives.

Provide timely, practical and commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, supporting business objectives while managing legal risk.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts, licences and other legal documentation, particularly material technology engagements.
Advise on privacy and data protection and governance
Protect and enhance RACQ's interests by overseeing intellectual property, reviewing marketing and promotional materials, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the RACQ Group, providing trusted legal counsel, mentoring team members and contributing to major projects, investments and strategic initiatives.

About you
You are an experienced commercial lawyer with strong corporate and commercial law expertise and a practical, solutions-focused approach. Confident partnering with senior stakeholders, you provide commercially sound legal advice that balances business objectives and risk. Highly organised and collaborative, you build trusted relationships and deliver effective legal solutions in a fast-paced environment. You Will Bring:

Admission, or eligibility for admission, as a legal practitioner in Queensland, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in law.
7+ years post-admission experience, with strong exposure to corporate and commercial legal matters gained in-house, private practice or a combination of both.
Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts and providing practical, business-focused legal advice.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Highly Regarded:
Experience advising on technology, digital, data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property and information governance matters.
Experience advising on corporate governance, board and committee matters.
