Corporate Lawyer, Associate or Senior Associate

The Role:

Cooper Grace Ward is looking for a Corporate/M&A lawyer, associate or senior associate (2-8 PAE) to join our leading Corporate Advisory workgroup. You will have the opportunity to work alongside market-leading partners Charles Sweeney, Andrew Corkhill and Phil Vickery on high-value M&A transactions and projects across Queensland’s vibrant market.

Our Corporate Advisory group is one of the largest and most successful in the Queensland market, acting for a wide range of premium clients.

The variety of work you will do includes:

  • Advising on high-value M&A transactions and projects
  • Providing general corporate and commercial advice
  • Collaborating with clients to provide solutions and strategic advice on corporate governance
  • Advising on merger and acquisition and divestment transactions, including conducting due diligence investigations and drafting key transaction agreements
  • Advising on and drafting commercial contracts
  • Advising on joint ventures, including drafting shareholder and similar agreements.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding technical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to consistently produce accurate, high quality work
  • Dedication to excellence and the delivery of outstanding client service
  • Desire to strengthen and build client relationships to continually contribute to the growth and success of the firm
  • Ability to work autonomously and assist with providing guidance to junior team members.
