Fortescue is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Field Technicians to join Fortescue’s Resource Definition teams!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct escorts in the AOZ.
• Work compliant with Fortescue standards and statutory obligations.
• Support resource definition Geologists and Earthworks in their work and complete tasks as requested.
• Investigate and correct reconciliations returned from the laboratories.
• Dispatch samples to the laboratory
• Fulfill performance objectives and KPI's.
• Record sample bag numbers and enter correctly into the database
• Provide initiatives for process improvements to supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• • Experience in a similar role in open pit mining is highly regarded
  • Manual C Class driver’s license
  • Forklift license highly regarded
  • Proactive, highly motivated and enthusiastic. Willing to take on new challenges, work in a physically demanding job and learn new skills.
  • A team player with a ‘can do’ and collaborative attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and capable of building strong multi-departmental relationships
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • High attention to detail
