Tell me about this role:

Amentum are seeking NV1 security cleared Systems Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, you will take the lead of critical activities, covering all technical areas of the project that require a Systems Engineering approach.. The successful candidate will require demonstrated experience in a high-pressure environment, preferably Defence, with a willingness to be adaptable.

What will I be doing day to day?

Conduct capability and concept development, requirements analysis and development, design and implementation
Plan and deliver engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management, and project outcomes
Assist with activities relating to System Acceptance and Commissioning of the Defence Segments
Assist the Integration Lead and T&E Lead to ensure the timely availability and fitness for purpose of the Defence provided Customer Furnished Information & Data and Material (CFx)
Conduct Verification & Validation
Provide Engineering governance of Networks (Systems of systems)
Engage with stakeholders, investigate systems engineering concepts, deliver and manage systems engineering specifications and resources

What sort of skills do I need?

Degree qualifications in Systems Engineer or related field
Experience within a government or Defence environment
Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering practices and methodologies
Experience in engineering governance and Verification & Validation
Strong communication skills, process orientated with good attention to detail
Hold a minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
