Make an impact at Serco

As a Training Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Facilities Management teams by ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform their roles safely and effectively. Working closely with operational leaders and team members, you’ll deliver engaging training programs, conduct competency assessments and help maintain high service standards across our contracts. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting employee development, fostering continuous improvement and helping our teams succeed. You’ll join a supportive environment where learning, collaboration and growth are highly valued.

As a Training Officer, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Delivering on-the-job training and competency assessments for new and existing team members
  • Developing training plans, assessment materials and supporting learning resources
  • Conducting training needs analysis and maintaining training compliance records
  • Facilitating monthly team training sessions and refresher programs
  • Creating engaging training materials, including videos and instructional guides
  • Supporting employees through individual coaching and skills development activities

  • Experience delivering workplace training, coaching or competency-based assessments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Experience creating and delivering training materials and learning resources
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to adapt training approaches to suit different learning styles and experience levels
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent workplace training qualification
