Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) is a leading Australian managed, UK owned Agribusiness with strong ESG values. CPC owns and operates a portfolio of ten station aggregations in Australia and two feedlots in Indonesia. Across more than 4.3m hectares of land, the CPC team care for more than 300,000 head of cattle, 50,000 goats, 25,000 sheep and produce a diverse range of crops.
About Madura Plains
Madura Plains is located east of Eucla, WA, near the South Australian border on the Nullarbor Plain. Madura Plains covers approximately 712,000 hectares. The station has a diverse landscape of open plains, coastal country and low limestone rises and forms an important part of CPC's sheep and wool operations, producing quality wool and sheep meat from its Merino flock.
What You'll Do:
- Participate in all pre-start meetings and safety toolbox talks
- All sheep operations, including mustering, drafting, processing, and trucking, while practicing low-stress livestock handling techniques.
- Ride two-wheel motorbikes for mustering.
- Operate motor vehicles and machinery (manual vehicles) and perform prestart checks.
- Maintain fences, including straining and general repairs.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance and repairs (changing tyres, oil, cleaning).
- Check stock watering points and maintain water facilities and pipelines.
- Perform general station maintenance.
What You Need:
- A genuine interest in working and living on a very remote sheep station.
- Be prepared to work and live in a team environment
- Ability to ride a two-wheel motorbike (or a willingness to learn).
- Skills in sheep handling and mustering (or a willingness to learn).
- A current and valid driver's license (manual) and motorbike license (optional).

Physical Demands: This job is physically demanding and includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments. You will be expected to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push, and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push, and pull from 5-10-20 kilos and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend and descend ladders.
