What would I be doing?

As a Assistant Accountant, you will deliver high quality financial reporting and analysis to support budget holders and manage operations and changes in external environment.

This could include:

  • Support month-end processes, including processing, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and report preparation.
  • Assist with end of year processes involving collating reconciliations for audit queries and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports from CRM, finance, and other business systems.
  • Contribute to finance projects and/or assist other Finance Team members with accounts receivable and payable functions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.

What you’ll need

This could include:

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in Finance Role with large accounting systems and high transactional volume.
  • Accounting Degree or studying towards a relevant tertiary degree qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Accounting and CRM package is preferred but not essential.
  • Current 'C' class driver's licence with access to a vehicle.
  • A passion for people and a focus on great customer service.
  • A commitment to working together to deliver great outcomes.
  • Great listening and respectful communication skills.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • National Police Check.
