Graduate Program Highlights

Our 18-month Graduate Program provides structured development, hands-on experience and exposure to our regulatory work areas.

  • Complete six month rotations within the Energy Markets and Regulation divisions
  • Permanent appointment after 12 months of satisfactory performance
  • Work on real projects alongside experienced economists, analysts and regulatory experts
  • Build your skills in analysis, policy, stakeholder engagement and problem solving
  • Receive mentoring, feedback, on the job and professional development opportunities from experienced, senior staff, fellow young cohort staff and a dedicated Graduate Coordinator
  • Participation in the WA Public Sector Commission Launch Program (a dedicated whole‑of‑sector graduate development program)

  • Can commence February 2027
  • Have recently completed or expected to complete a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree between December 2023 and December 2026, relevant degrees can include but not limited to;
  • Economics, Finance, Accounting
  • Business, Law, Legal Studies
  • Engineering, Mathematics,Data Science
  • Actuarial Science,Social Science and English.

Subsequent vacancies

This selection process will initially be used to fill the positions noted above. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process will be appointed to the pool and/or appointed to a similar vacancy that may be permanent or contract, including fixed term appointments with the possibility of extension or subsequent permanency within a 12 month period.
