Role: Integrated Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Social Worker
Time fraction: Part time (0.8) or fulltime
Employment type: Max term -to 30/6/2028
Salary: $44.58 – $47.97 per hour
You see the person behind the story.
You know that people’s lives are rarely simple.
You understand that engagement isn’t one-size-fits-all.
You can sit with complexity, build genuine relationships, and support people to find hope, connection and meaningful change.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for a Social Worker to join our integrated Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug team, supporting people experiencing challenges relating to mental health, and alcohol and other drug use.
Help shape a new role.
- This is a newly created position, offering a unique opportunity to bring your ideas, strengths and experience to help shape how the role evolves within our integrated Mental Health and AOD team.
No AOD experience? That’s okay.
- If you’re an experienced Mental Health Social Worker who is interested in expanding your practice into Alcohol and Other Drugs, we’ll support you with training, mentoring and professional development to build your confidence and capability.
- We’re looking for the right person as much as the right experience.
What makes our team different?
- We genuinely care about the people we work with, about the people we support, and about each other.
- We believe we’re always better together.
- We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we take what we do very seriously.
- This is a team where you’ll be supported, valued and encouraged to bring your ideas, strengths and personality to work.
You might be exactly who we’re looking for if you:
- Are a qualified Social Worker with experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges
- Enjoy building genuine relationships and meeting people where they’re at
- Believe in person-centred, strengths-based and recovery-oriented practice
- See the person behind the story and possibility beyond the barriers
- Can build trust and connection with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences
- Are flexible, adaptable and comfortable working with complexity
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Are curious, compassionate and passionate about making a difference
- Want to be part of a team that supports each other as much as the people we support
What’s in it for you?
- Meaningful work that changes lives
- A supportive multidisciplinary team that genuinely cares
- Opportunities to grow your Mental Health and AOD expertise
- Professional development, mentoring and ongoing learning
- Flexible work and leave arrangements
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 plus meals and entertainment benefits
- Access to employee wellbeing programs and discounts
If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact, continue to grow as a clinician, and be part of a team that loves what they do, we’d love to hear from you.
