Full job description

Apprentice Electrician – 1st to 4th Year
Voltira | Solar, Battery & Electrical

Voltira is looking for a 1st to 4th year electrical apprentice to join our growing team.

We specialise in solar, battery storage, EV charging, switchboard upgrades and general electrical work. This role is suited to someone who wants more out of their apprenticeship than just pulling cables, digging undergrounds, changing lights or doing the same maintenance tasks every day.

As a solar and battery electrician, you will be exposed to a wide range of electrical work across residential and commercial sites. Our installs touch almost every part of the industry, including AC electrical, DC electrical, switchboards, metering, communications, battery systems, inverter systems, fault-finding, testing, commissioning and compliance.

At Voltira, our goal is to train apprentices who are capable, confident and equipped to handle every facet of electrical work. You will learn how full systems are built, how power flows, how sites are planned, how faults are diagnosed and how jobs are completed properly from start to finish.

What we offer:

  • Exposure to solar, batteries, EV chargers, switchboards and general electrical work
  • A much broader learning experience than repetitive labour or basic maintenance work
  • Hands-on training across different parts of the electrical industry
  • The opportunity to become a well-rounded electrician, not just a labourer with tools
  • A growing company with room to develop as your skills improve
  • Real responsibility as you progress through your apprenticeship
  • All required education, trade school fees and apprenticeship-related training paid for by Voltira
  • Tools provided as required for the role
  • Safety wear and PPE provided
  • Once qualified, Voltira will pay for your Grid Connect and Battery Storage accreditation pathway so you can keep progressing after your apprenticeship

What we are looking for:

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable working on roofs and outdoors
  • Takes pride in clean, safe and professional work
  • Driver’s licence preferred
  • Solar experience is a bonus, but not required

This is a great opportunity for an apprentice who wants to become a genuinely capable electrician and gain experience in one of the fastest-growing areas of the electrical industry.
