What you'll be doing

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will provide comprehensive echocardiography services that support the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease. Working closely with cardiologists and fellow sonographers, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while contributing to outstanding patient care.
  • Perform high-quality echocardiography in accordance with ASUM, NSW Health and departmental protocols.
  • Prioritise inpatient and outpatient examinations to meet clinical demands and response times.
  • Adapt examination techniques to obtain comprehensive diagnostic information for each patient.
  • Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call roster and actively contribute to ongoing professional development.

  • Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac)
  • Registration: Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry

Selection Criteria
  • Accredited by the Australian Sonographer accreditation registry.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Medical Sonography (Cardiac).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment towards a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Demonstrate high standard of practice within the profession, through the active involvement in areas such as conferences, lectures, seminars, continuing education or professional development.
