Sonoma Alexandria are looking for a skilled barista to join the Sonoma Coffee Team in our Alexandria Sourdough Bakery Store.

An energetic, hospitality focused player to join our team working week days and weekend days making people's day by slinging great speciality coffee to great customers.

The Gig:

• Always give excellent customer service & exceed guest expectations
• Ensure the Sonoma standard is maintained when preparing food & coffee
• Serve customers efficiently
• Give advice, guidance & recommendations on products & menu selection to customers to ensure a positive experience & repeat business.
• Assist in preparation of display counters before, during & at the end of service.
• Ensure adequate stock levels, managing orders & stock rotation.
• Managing queues & meeting customer expectations, upsell to maximize profit.
• Keep areas tidy & clean
• Work as part of a team and provide backup to other team members
• Be an ambassador of the brand

The You

• Experience working in a fast paced environment - kilos and pace no issue
• Minimum 2 year experience as a Barista
• Flexible availability in weekends and public holidays
• Hard working & enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly demeanor always even under pressure
• Great memory (remembering the names and orders of our regulars is imperative!)
• Excellent standards of personal presentation smart appearance and articulate.
• Need to be willing to learn, take instruction and work under own initiative, supporting other team members and able to multitask.
• Love coffee, bread and food
• Keen eye for detail & cleanliness

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
