Axil Coffee Roasters is a leading specialty coffee roastery and café established in 2011 in Hawthorn. We have multiple locations across Victoria, including Melbourne Airport, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Melbourne Central, Richmond and several other locations in the CBD.

Home to World Barista Champion Jack Simpson, we pride ourselves on building a great place to work and fostering talent and development.

We are on the hunt for passionate front of house team members across our Melbourne locations.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A warm, proactive approach to customer service
  • The ability to move quickly but serve with care and attention
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
  • A genuine interest in specialty coffee and eagerness to learn
  • Experience in a high-volume café or hospitality environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Square Restaurant POS
  • A team player attitude with the ability to self-manage during peak periods
  • Weekend and early morning availability

  • Greeting customers warmly and delivering attentive, customer-focused service
  • Taking orders and processing payments accurately via POS
  • Maintaining pace and efficiency during busy service periods without compromising standards
  • Supporting the bar team and contributing to a cohesive, high-energy environment
  • Keeping your section clean, organised and compliant with food safety regulations
  • Developing your knowledge of our coffee offering, including single origins, filter and cold drip
  • Being proactive in problem solving
  • Going out of your way to make a customer's day
