At NAR, we create licensed sports and lifestyle apparel for major retail and department store channels across Australia and New Zealand. We’re looking for a Design Admin Assistant to support our Design team with artwork setup, tech packs, approvals, and day-to-day coordination in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career who is detail-oriented, organised, eager to learn and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Design team, you’ll help support the creation and approval process for licensed apparel and headwear collections across globally recognised brands and leagues.
You’ll play an important role in keeping artwork, approvals, and seasonal information accurate and moving efficiently through the design process. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining creativity with administration and has strong attention to detail.
Your New Role
You’ll support with creating team build-outs, preparing tech packs, managing approval uploads, tracking feedback across portals and maintaining accurate records and templates.
You’ll gain exposure to the end-to-end product process while working collaboratively with Designers and cross-functional teams in a fast-moving retail environment.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Creating team build-outs in Adobe Illustrator using approved design templates
- Applying team logos, colours, and artwork across multiple styles and brands
- Preparing tech packs and specifications within 3Clicks for supplier handover
- Uploading designs to league approval portals and tracking submissions
- Updating approval statuses, feedback, and submission logs using Excel and internal systems
- Creating and editing approval sheets and PDFs using Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat
- Supporting the compilation of seasonal merchandise catalogues
- Assisting with sample coordination and distribution
- Maintaining organised and accurate files, records, and artwork references
- Supporting the wider Design team with ad hoc tasks as required
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- Studying or recently completed a qualification in Fashion, Graphic Design, or a related field (desirable)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable following processes and working to deadlines
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude
- Eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced design environment
- Confident using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and data entry/admin tasks
- Someone who enjoys both creative and administrative work
- Passionate about delivering accurate, high-quality work
