THE OPPORTUNITY

Viva Leisure is seeking an experienced and people-focused State Personal Training Manager to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a state-level leadership role within one of Australia’s fastest-growing health and wellness groups.

In this role, you will support the delivery and ongoing success of Viva Leisure’s Personal Training program, working closely with club leaders to drive consistency, quality and commercial performance across multiple locations. You will play a key role in developing Personal Trainers, strengthening operational capability and contributing to the continued growth and evolution of our fitness offering.

The role is based at our Sydney head office in Beaconsfield and requires regular travel to Club Lime NSW sites.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior fitness management role, ideally within a commercial and multi-site environment.
• Cert IV in Personal Training
• Current CPR & First Aid (or ability to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience providing leadership across multiple sites, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and reactive environment.
• Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
• A strong track record in training, coaching and developing others, supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including the delivery of presentations and facilitation of group sessions.
• Strong analytical capability, with experience monitoring program performance, identifying insights and developing strategies to improve Personal Training engagement, retention and overall business performance in collaboration with senior leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive growth in Personal Training participation, trainer numbers and revenue across clubs
• Support and coach Club Management and Area Managers to lead high-performing Personal Training teams
• Improve Personal Trainer utilisation, retention and overall commercial performance
• Lead the development, engagement and ongoing capability of Personal Trainers and leaders
• Support effective recruitment strategies to maintain sustainable Personal Trainer pipelines
• Build and manage strong relationships with Registered Training Organisations and education partners
• Represent the business in education and recruitment forums to promote quality training pathways
• Monitor performance, feedback and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance member engagement and Personal Training outcomes
• Ensure compliance with required business processes and documentation standards
