Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Vegetable Farm Worker to join our agricultural operations in the Northern Territory.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with daily vegetable farming activities, including planting, growing, maintaining, harvesting and handling various vegetable crops.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare soil, planting beds and growing areas for vegetable production.
• Plant vegetable seeds and seedlings according to seasonal requirements.
• Water crops and operate irrigation systems.
• Apply fertilisers and assist with crop nutrition management.
• Monitor crop growth and identify pests, diseases and other plant health issues.
• Assist with harvesting vegetables at the appropriate stage of maturity.
• Sort, grade, clean and pack harvested vegetables.
• Maintain farm equipment, tools and irrigation systems.
• Perform general farm maintenance, including weed control and cleaning.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Carry out other general agricultural duties as directed by the farm manager.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in vegetable farming or agricultural work is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vegetable production and harvesting techniques.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, responsible and willing to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
