Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Administrator to join our Managed Services team supporting mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure and enterprise platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise backup and storage environments, ensuring high availability, performance, data protection, business continuity, and disaster recovery in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

Storage Administration:
Administer and support enterprise storage environments across Production, UAT, Development, Test, and Disaster Recovery environments.
Manage SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and enterprise storage infrastructure.
Perform storage provisioning, LUN allocation, zoning, masking, expansion, and capacity management.
Monitor storage health, performance, utilization, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
Perform storage performance tuning and optimization.
Support storage replication, snapshots, cloning, and disaster recovery solutions.
Perform firmware upgrades, storage migrations, lifecycle management, and maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents within agreed SLA and KPI targets.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.

Backup Administration:
Administer and support enterprise backup infrastructure.
Configure and manage backup policies, schedules, retention policies, and media management.
Monitor backup jobs and ensure successful completion of backup and restore operations.
Perform backup recovery testing and validation.
Manage backup replication between Production and Disaster Recovery environments.
Perform backup infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
Support disaster recovery exercises and business continuity testing.
Troubleshoot failed backup jobs and optimize backup performance.
Ensure backup compliance with security, governance, and retention requirements.

Operational Support:
Collaborate with Database, VMware, Linux, Windows, Network, Security, and Application Support teams.
Participate in Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Capacity Management processes following ITIL best practices.
Develop operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with operational procedures, security standards, and governance requirements.
Identify automation opportunities and implement continuous service improvements.
Participate in planned maintenance activities and 24x7 on-call support rotations.

Required Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in Enterprise Backup and Storage Administration.
Experience working within Managed Services or Enterprise Infrastructure Operations.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise backup and storage environments.
Experience working in mission-critical production environments with strict SLA and KPI commitments.
Experience supporting Telecommunications, Service Providers, or large enterprise environments is highly desirable.
Experience working in 24x7 operational support environments.
