Full job description
Australia's most influential organisations - across financial services, mining and other key sectors - are rethinking how they compete, grow and create value in a world being reshaped by AI, regulation and rising stakeholder expectations. Strategy& works with them on the questions that matter most - and we're looking for a Senior Associate ready to play a central role in that work.
Strategy& is PwC's global strategy consulting business. In Australia, we define enterprise strategy, design operating models and deliver transformation. Our work bridges the gap between strategy and execution, backed by PwC's broader capabilities - giving you access to problems, clients and perspectives that few other roles can offer at this stage of your career.
In this role, you will be at the analytical core of our engagements. You'll generate and test hypotheses, build frameworks, conduct research and synthesise complex information into insights that drive client decisions. You'll take ownership of your workstream - managing deliverables, reconciling ambiguous data and presenting findings with clarity and confidence. Our teams are lean and shift with each engagement, so you'll need to be adaptable, proactive and ready to operate with real autonomy. You'll also begin contributing to business development - supporting proposals, developing thought leadership and building the commercial instincts that accelerate your growth toward Manager.
We're looking for sharp, curious thinkers who bring structure to unstructured problems and hold themselves to a high standard. You should be someone who communicates with precision, collaborates generously and takes initiative without waiting to be asked. Experience in financial services or mining will give you a head start, but we're equally interested in exceptional problem-solvers from any background who are hungry to build deep sector knowledge and develop fast.
If you want to do meaningful strategy work early in your career - with real responsibility, direct client exposure and a team that invests in your development - this is where to start.
Why PwC?
At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health — giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.
Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we’re building trust and shaping the future.
What you’ll do:
-
Support the development and implementation of strategic plans that are closely aligned with clients' overarching business objectives.
-
Conduct research and analysis to capture valuable market insights and trends.
-
Support client engagements by contributing to workshops and presentations that guide decision-making processes.
-
Contribute to the preparation of detailed deliverables, ensuring high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings.
What we’re looking for:
-
Proven analytical abilities, showcasing the skill to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.
-
High proficiency in communication, both verbally and in writing, to effectively articulate ideas and influence stakeholders.
-
Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for delivering innovative and creative solutions to challenges.
-
Demonstrated collaboration skills, contributing positively and effectively within diverse and dynamic teams
Don't meet every requirement? We encourage you to apply. We value all forms of experience that may be transferrable and relevant.
What you’ll gain:
-
The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise. Work within an inclusive environment committed to Inclusion and Diversity and First Nations Prosperity, ensuring diverse perspectives are at the forefront of our work.
-
Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.
-
Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.
-
Generous leave entitlements to support your work-life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.
-
A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
