Who We Are
Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.
To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
Are you a problem solver? Are you passionate about developing ground-breaking ideas across a wide range of industries and fields? Are you eager to make a difference? BCG is looking for experienced professionals to join our Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Perth and Canberra teams at the Junior Consultant and Consultant level in 2025 and 2026. We recruit from a wide range of backgrounds, both those with consulting experience and those without, from a variety of industries. There is no typical background for a BCG Experienced Professional. We look for the most talented people who have excelled in their field and we assess each individual on their own merits. We count former doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, finance professionals, engineers, musicians and research academics amongst our current ANZ staff.
What can a role at BCG offer you?

- Driving real impact from day one: With BCG's customized approach, ideas trump tenure. Our case teams take ideas from all levels in order to deliver breakthrough results to our clients
- Strong investment in development and training: At BCG, we’ll arm you to take on any challenge you choose, inside or outside the firm, by providing you with the support, unsurpassed training and opportunities to enable you to become a leader responsible for real and lasting impact.

- A world of opportunities: With a myriad of mobility prospects, secondments, passion projects and a variety of social and cultural events at your fingertips, you’ll get the chance to take on dynamic opportunities inside and outside of case work.
- An award winning culture: We are proud of the opportunities for personal and professional growth that we provide to our employees, and for the awards and recognition we have received. This includes a top-five ranking in Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” for the 8th consecutive year, ranked 9th on the 2021 "Best Global Culture" list and the CDP ‘A List’ for Climate
What You'll Do

You’ll collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds and disciplines, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you at every stage of your career—at BCG and beyond.
Consulting work is varied and rigorous, much of it performed at our client sites. Projects can vary in length, size, and location, depending on the client’s challenge. Because our clients operate all over the world, you may travel internationally.
If you are joining us directly from school or with a few years of experience, expect to spend time working across a wide range of clients and projects from helping to devise the integration strategy for a pharmaceutical merger to developing sustainable farming practices in emerging countries.
For more experienced professionals, or as your career advances, you’ll begin to specialize in one or more practice areas, perhaps as part of our expert consulting track for those with deep knowledge and skills in a particular discipline or industry. Every step of the way you will be guided by BCG mentors and world-class learning programs designed to meet your individual needs
BCG is seeking talented applicants for both Junior Consultant and Consultant roles. We will consider your application at the most suitable level depending on your background and experience and we will continue to assess level during the formal interview process.
